These terms and conditions apply to the agreement between you and Dr Rosalie Knowles (Carrying Matters) for the provision of training via an online course on the Carrying Matters website and the practical course delivered either in person or via video conferencing media. Please read these terms and conditions carefully prior to ticking the “I’ve read and accept the terms & conditions” checkbox when purchasing the course. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions, please do not purchase the course. Scope of the training Completion of the online part of the course “Introduction to Babywearing theory and safety - online course” does not qualify you as a Peer Supporter or Consultant without further practical training. The online course does need to be completed prior to attending a “Peer Supporter Practical Session” which is paid for separately. In certain circumstances, both parts of the course may have been paid for in advance and a voucher created for the online course portion of the training. Upon completion of the course, you will be awarded a certificate of completion. All intellectual property of the course remains the property of Dr Rosalie Knowles and no copying, modifying, reproduction, publishing, distribution, broadcasting etc. is authorised. Fees Fees must be paid prior to commencing each part of the courses offered. We use PayPal as a payment gateway. Refunds There are no refunds offered for the online course or in-person courses. If you need to cancel your attendance on the Peer Supporter Practical Session, you will be offered a place on a future course. In the circumstance where we are unable to deliver the Peer Supporter Practical Session a third party may deliver the course on our behalf or we will offer an alternative date. Confidentiality and your data We take data security very seriously and will protect your data to the best of our ability. Any data you disclose will only be used for the provision of the training and related services. With your expressed agreement, we may share relevant information with our retail and services company Sling Spot Ltd for the purchase of items, creation of coupons and services. We use Wordpress and wp-training for the delivery of the online portion of the training. Termination of terms and conditions The agreement will be terminated with you if you fail to pay the fees, steal or misuse our intellectual property or act in an inappropriate manner to the students or teacher of the course. Upon termination of the agreement you must continue to uphold the agreement clauses regarding intellectual property and confidentiality. Legal Jurisdiction This agreement is subject to English law and subject the to jurisdiction of the English courts in connection with any disputes arising.
