Reduced cost training places for those from ‘priority groups’
In order to increase knowledge about the benefits of close contact and sling use among a broader range of communities. I would like to offer reduced cost places for people from certain priority groups, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to enrol because of financial reasons.
These priority groups might be
- people who would be able to offer carrying and sling support to families in under-represented groups within established babywearing communities (for example from a range of minority backgrounds or disabilities)
- people working with marginalised families
- those working in areas where the benefits of close contact or sling use are less well known or viewed with reluctance
- those working alongside groups of people who might not otherwise consider slings
- health and social care professionals
I believe these workers are able to have a significant impact on the families they care for, and feeling empowered to recommend close contact and babywearing more effectively would be of great benefit.
If you feel you are part of one of these priority groups and would like to take my course, but are unable to enrol because of financial reasons, please contact me to discuss a reduced cost place.
Current prices for the courses
- online course £40
- practical course £55
- in person one-day course £95 (when available)
