Do you have a curious child? Are they constantly straining and twisting to see behind them when they are in their carrier? Have you tried a hip carry?
Two tips that will help for a child who has sustained head control and upper body co-ordination (typically 12 weeks old)..
- try arms out, this will liberate their shoulders and give them more freedom to twist around
- try a hip carry! here is a tutorial for how to do it with a cross strap carrier, moving from the front carry position.
This method will work for any cross strap carrier, with or without a waistband. This will not work for carriers with fixed rucksack (straight) straps.
